What to tell us
A few lines are enough to start. Useful details are:
- Your town or postcode, so we can check the planning authority
- What you want: a new rooflight, a replacement, a roof lantern, a roof window in a loft or a sun tunnel
- The kind of roof: pitched with tiles or slate, or a flat roof on an extension or garage
- For a replacement, the size code from the data plate if you can see it
- A photo or two of the roof or the old unit, if it is easy to take
The survey visit
We arrange a time that suits you and come to the house. We measure the opening or the rafter spacing, look at the roof covering and the structure underneath, check how we will get safe access, and talk through the product and size that fit. Before or after the visit, we check the planning position for your address.
The job plan and the written quote
After the survey we send a written quote with every part of the job priced as its own line. Attached to it is the job plan: the product and its size code, what we found on planning, who signs off the work, how long delivery takes and the date we propose to fit. You can see how the job will run before you decide.

The survey and the quote are free. Take your time, ask questions and compare it with other quotes if you wish. If you go ahead, we order the unit and confirm the fitting date in writing.
